The health ministry pledges to boost the drugs of chronic diseases and decreases their prices

The Sudanese ministry of health pledged to boost the drugs of chronic diseases and exert all efforts to make those drugs within the reach of those who are in need of them.

The minister of health Bahar Abu Garda said that the decrease in the prices of those drugs will reach up to 70%. He said that his ministry is still securing free drugs for patients in the public and private health establishments. The minister said that those decisions are per the directives of the President.

Commissioner Madame MayadaSuar Al-Dahab said that Khartoum state is launching a new initiative and adopting new methods to fight drug circulation and trafficking in the state next year. The commissioner described the drug as a threat to the national security. She called for the mobilization of all the parties in the battle againstdrug.
