Sudan: Al-Bashir to address opening session of Board of Trustees of Islamic Dawa Organization

President of the Sudan Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir will address Thursday the opening session of Board of Trustees of Islamic Dawa Organization in its 27 session with participation of 100 figures of humanitarian and charity work coming from different parts of the World.

 The Organization' Secretary-General , Professor Abdul-Rahim Ali said in an 8interview with SUNA that the meeting of Board of Trustees is a regular and is held every two years and attended by representatives of the member states and guests from different countries.
 Prof. Ali said this meeting is held amid critical regional conditions and that collection of donations for charity work in Arab region has become difficult task due to international pressures resulting from accusation of terrorism slapping on all charity activities.
 Despite that , he added, the organization managed to keep up its presence in 40 African countries by working in supporting orphans, building mosques and providing relief and medical treatment.
 Prof. Ali revealed that the Islamic Dawa Organization is seeking in the coming period to find major investment partnerships to help it fund its charity projects.
 He disclosed that the Islamic Dawa Organization has overcome the financial crisis by investing in its assets and support provided by its friends and the philanthropists.

The Sudan Minister of International Cooperation Idris Suleiman has stressed the importance of consultation and coordination with the relevant ministries to determine priorities for projects and programs and ways to implement them in the framework of the new grant of the European Union (EU) for Sudan amounting to 60 million Euros.
