Vatican Ambassador to Sudan appreciates Sudan's Role in Religious Tolerance

 Abu Bakr Osman Ibrahim, Sudan Minister of Guidance and Endowment, called for reflecting the positive distinctive Image about Sudan and pointed to the religious co-existence and tolerance in Sudan. The Minister welcomed at his office last week H.E Pert Van Mission, Vatican Ambassador to Sudan.

The meeting tackled the bilateral relations between the two countries and the situations of Muslims and Christians in Sudan. Minister of Guidance assured the good relations between Muslims and Christians explaining that Christians have full rights and freedom for their religious and believes, added that Christians have their rights and duties according to Law, Constitution, citizenship indicated to some sort of religious tolerance and co-existence among Coptic Faction in Sudan who celebrate Iftar of the holy month of Ramadan every year with Muslims, beside the participation of Muslims , the Christians their occasions and celebrations .
Hamid Yousif Adam, the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Guidance appreciated the ongoing of good relations between the Ministry of Guidance and the Vatican Embassy in Sudan. He affirmed the commitment of the Ministry with the charter of the Islamic- Christian dialogue which had been signed between Sudan and Vatican.
From his side, Peter Van Mission, Ambassador of Vatican appreciated the Sudanese experience in religious co-existence in Sudan; he called for coordination and cooperation between the two countries.
He added that he is still working to show the positive and good image about the peaceful co-existence and religious tolerance in Sudan in his several meetings with European Ambassadors.

Commissioner Madame MayadaSuar Al-Dahab said that Khartoum state is launching a new initiative and adopting new methods to fight drug circulation and trafficking in the state next year. The commissioner described the drug as a threat to the national security. She called for the mobilization of all the parties in the battle againstdrug.
