Sudan: Economic Measures Restored Balance to the National Economy: Minister:

The State Minister for Finance and Economic Planning, Abdul Rahaman Dhirar, and member of the high level delegation accompanying the president in his current tour in North Kordufan state, has said the recently adopted economic measures have contributed in restoring the balance of the National economy.

 Dhirar told a gathering of political, native administration and society leaders gathering in El-Obied, capital of North Kordufan State, that Sudan's gold proceeds along with remittances of the Sudanese expatriates could easily cover up any gap in the trade balance of the country and that the recently adopted economic measures have in fact besieged dealings in basic services and basic commodities and staved off brokerage in the black market of foreign currencies.
 He said the rate of exchange has in fact stabilized relatively since the adoption of these measures.
