International Mining Companies Express Desire to Invest in Sudan

Gms: Khartoum, October 8 (Sudan Vision)

Sudan has participated in mining conference and expo for the Middle East, Africa, and Central and South Asia, which was convened in Dubai on October 2-3, with a delegation led by State Minister at the Ministry of MineralsOshaik Mohamed Tahir.

The State Minister addressed the conference, reviewing Sudan’s mining potentials, investment opportunities and the advantages offered by the Ministry of Minerals for the investors.
The Sudan’s delegation has also comprised representatives of the Geological Research Authority and Ariab Mining Company.
The State Minister at the Ministry of Minerals and the accompanying delegation met on the sidelines of the conference with a number of international mining companies, including an America firm, which expressed desire to invest in Sudan.
It is worthy to note that ministers from 12 countries and representatives to major companies from Canada, South Africa and Australia participated in the conference.

The secretary general of Zakat chamber Mohammad Abdul Razig said that around 14 million of the citizens of Sudan are receiving financial help from Zakat chamber. He said that he is talking about 2,291,781 families throughout the country.
