Sudan: FVP affirms Sudan full Support to APRM

The First Vice-President of the Sudan Republic, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih has reiterated Sudan’s full support to the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) and Sudan keenness to present its report to the Mechanism which will include outcome of the national dialogue.
The First Vice-President, during a meeting with APRM Mission led by Ambassador, Ashraf Rashid in the Republican Palace Tuesday, pointed out that Sudan is embarking on preparing a report to be presented to African presidents within this year and within APRM.
Ambassador Rashid said in press statements after his meeting with the First Vice-President, that the ongoing national dialogue to discuss all Sudan’s issues will be a bright point in in Sudan’s report.
He said the mission saw in the identity and basic freedoms committees of the national dialogue holistic of participation of the political parties and transparency which prevails the discussion.
SUNA noted that Sudan joined the APRM in 2006.
